I founded Howe Sound Neuro Physiotherapy out of a deep commitment to supporting individuals living with neurological conditions by providing compassionate, evidence-based care.

With over 14 years of experience, I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University in 2012.

​

My passion for neurological rehabilitation began during an elective placement at Headley Court, a world-class military rehabilitation centre in the UK. Witnessing the profound impact that exceptional, specialist care had on individuals with complex physical challenges — restoring function, mobility, and independence — shaped my professional purpose. I became determined to deliver that same standard of excellence to individuals navigating neurological conditions within publicly funded healthcare systems.

Following graduation, I worked within the Acute Stroke Unit, Neurosciences Unit, and Neurological Intensive Care Unit at the Western General Hospital, the regional neurology and neurosurgery centre for South East Scotland.

After relocating to Vancouver, I continued to specialise in neurological rehabilitation. I have worked in leading hospitals across acute neurology, acquired brain injury, and spinal cord injury inpatient services, and I currently practice in one of Canada’s largest rehabilitation centres within an acquired brain injury outpatient programme.

My postgraduate training includes breathing and voicing strategies for postural control, the Bobath Concept, the NDT approach, Functional Electrical Stimulation, and aquatic therapy.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the mountains or on the water with my young family — and our Labrador, Norman
